Five Favorites...Traditional Eyeliner!

Monday, November 16, 2009
I had to split this into two parts...This one is my favorite non-mineral traditional type liners. I actually love pencils, liquid and cream/gel equally, although I find myself reaching for pencils most often for their easy and quick application. 1. Bed Head Big Fat Fun Smudgie in Lilac- a soft and slightly shimmery cool light purple that lasts forever! I don't give this color nearly enough love. It makes my eyes pop and is a fun alternative to black and surprisingly goes with almost any color of shadow. The formula is sort of like UD, but a bit less creamy. $16, but I think you find it cheaper online.
2. Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Underground- metallic taupe. I don't know where this color had been all my life! A lot of the UD colors are talked about all the time- Zero, Yeyo, Ransom, Electric. No one ever talks about Underground! It's such a perfect everyday color and looks great all day long. $17 for full size or buy a mini in a kit or ebay for $8

3. Collection 2000 Glam Crystals in Hustle- purple-y taupe-y silver-y glitter liner. I freaking love this stuff! It adds such a sweet and unique touch to any look. The multi-colored shimmer means it lasts goes with every color and the formula is to die for. No random falling-off bits here! (No idea how much this one costs! Pounds confuse me!)
4. Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero-black. Yep, I love it. It doesn't smudge and stays put on the waterline. I have like 4 minis of it! It's a deep black and works great for layering with shadows! $17 for full size or buy a mini in a kit or ebay for $8
5. Loreal HIP Color Rich Cream in Black- black. My perfect gel liner! I even love the brush it comes with, which is super rare. This shit stays on for a loooong time with takes a major scrubbin to get off. The color is inky and the blackest black I own. I love it so much for tightlining, but my laziness gets the best of me most days. I don't actually think its worth the $12 price tag though since you can almost always get it BOGO or on sale somewhere.

What are your favorite eye liners? Do you like any of these? Are you a pencil, liquid or gel kind of gal?

I love, love UD 24/7!!! The zero stays on ALL DAY. I personally have bourbon, and I love that one, as well. Currently, my fav is actually the Stiletto liquid liner! I LOVE the tip, and I'm generally not a fan of liquid liners.

I'm definitely a liquid liner girl but I've been hearing such good things about the UD liners, I may have to buy 'em to try! :)

My fav 2 pencil ones are UD's Bourbon (came with the book of shadows, didn't think I'd like it being a brown but I love it! There's glitter in it!) and this wicked bright metallic blue from Bourjois my bro bought me for my bday from sephora. I don't think they have them anymore so I rarely use it.

I love UD zero eyeliner. I like the mineal liners but when I use them I line the powder over a liner. They really do come out nice that way....Gel liners are ok...

I love these 5 Favorites posts!

Mostly I use the gel liners that Aromaleigh sells (I think they're made by LadyBurd? not 100% sure on that). My favorites are Black Out (asic black) and Black Cherry (shimmery blackened burgundy). This stuff is bulletproof. Lasts all day (and all night, if you fall asleep in it, like I did. Oops.).

For pencils, I like Rimmel b/c they're inexpensive and last long on me.

I have yet to find something that stays put on my waterlines, so I will check out the UD pencil. :)

i'm so happy you did the mini review on the l'oreal hip cuz i've been looking for a gel that is cheap-oh on the wallet but not streaming down my face.

@Lisa...It does! I don't know how I lived without my 24/7s! I need to try Bourbon it seems and that Stiletto sounds great!

@EA...I know! *loves*

@ShopnChomp...I need to buy more liquid liners...I have a really old Avon one I use and it photographs so crappy!

@AxSDenied...I think I need Bourbon, it sounds gorgeous! I wish they sold the minis seperately, I've never even come close to using up a full size!

@Krista...Thats what I do too! They look great over Zero since its sort of wet when it goes on.

@Ella...Thank you! They are so fun to do and are helping me rediscover my collection! I have one of those liners from AL (same on as Coastal Scents, I believe) and I really want to try the Black Cherry. Rimmel makes great cheap liners, but UD takes the cake!

@Toothfairy...I haven't tried those! I've heard great things! I need to check out my outlet soon! They have them there for like $15 I think!

@Mama Jen...Haha I know! They sell them at my professional store here, but I'm not sure where else. Everything is really great quality!

@Lizzard...Def try em! I know stores always have BOGO on these, so 2 for $12 isn't that bad! Try the teal one too, its lovely!
