Sassy Fashionista (in my pajamas)

Tuesday, October 27, 2009
I promise I'll do my full review of Sassy soon, but its so much fun playing with new colors!! This is a pretty neutral look with a bit of a twist!
What I used:
-Sassy Minerals Eye Candy Shimmer in Fashionista- rich copper with silver sparkles
-Sassy Minerals Eye Candy Shimmer in Rumor Mill- golden beige with silver and gold sparkles
-Sassy Minerals Eye Candy Shimmer in Madison Avenue- light silvered mauve
-Sassy Minerals Eye Candy Shimmer in Silk Sheets- silken golden cream with gold shimmer
-Exposed Organics Nectar
-Indelible cream shadow in Nude Frost
-Sassy Minerals So Cheeky Shimmer blush in Over the Garden Gate- soft copper rose
-NYX lipstick in Peach- rose (not very peach!)
-Morgana Minerals lipgloss in Starlit Mauve- beige mauve

Nude Frost as base. Madison Avenue on lid. Rumor Mill in crease. Silk Sheets on browbone. Used Nectar with Fashionista as liner. I finally see why Nea loved Silk Sheets so much! It really is a perfectly gorgeous highlight color! I felt sort of weird with my dark lips, but I'm started to come out of my 'nude lip' shell and embrace it! Don't my lips look huge? They never look that big with light colors! Weird cause dark colors are supposed to make an object look smaller (thats the whole dark on the outside of eye, light on the inside thing).

On another note, I've been reading like crazy. I always go through this weird phase where I read a ton in the fall, winter and spring, then I stop in the summer. In the past week I've read (with stars from 1-5):

The Next Big Thing by Johanna Edwards 4* Chick Lit
Daring Chloe by Laura Jensen Walker 2* Christian Chick Lit (did not know the Christian thing when I picked it up, so it wasn't that great for me)
Your Big Break by Johanna Edwards 4* Chick Lit
The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong (Darkest Powers, Book 1) 4* Youth Dark Supernatural
The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong (Darkest Powers, Book 2) 4* Youth Dark Supernatural
How to be Cool by Laura Jensen Walker 3* Chick Lit
The Blue Girl by Charles de Lint 5* Fantasy/Fae

Weird combo, right? I really loved The Blue Girl, a must read!! Johanna Edwards is a very good writer too, for chick lit. I liked Your Big Break the best, it centers around a girl who works for a "breakup" service, which I thought was a really cute idea! I read the Darkest Powers books since I love Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Underworld series. They reminded me a lot of PC Cast's House of Night series.

Have you read any good books lately?

Very nice look! I love the way you did the liner! I've been reading lately, too. I just finished Lemon Meringue Pie Murder by Joanne Fluke, The Ultimates Vol.2(Marvel graphic novel), and Dream Chaser by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Ooh, the liner looks stunning (as do you)!

I've figured that because we redheads tend to have the porcelain doll skin, the lips really stand out if you use dark lipstick. My bottom lip is ridiculously huge and I tried wearing darker lippies to make it look smaller but it just didn't work.

But don't worry, your lips look full and beautiful!

@Nea...You totally will! It's fab!

@VampiressDoll...Thank you soo much! I was surprised that the pink actually looked good with the copper liner!

@Crystal...Aw, I love you!!

@Secretia...Thank you so much!

@Evil Angel...Not as good as you, doll! You really rock the dark lip!

@Saila...Hmm never thought that are skin would do that, but I guess it makes sense! Redheads unite! (You are the only other blogger redhead I know!)
