My first tattoo was the original Amy Brown bubble rider faerie and for me & my husband's second anniversary (not wedding anniversary, but first date one!) he got me the Amy Brown bubble rider VII. I would take pics of them, but they are on my back! The second one is over a foot long! Meep!

Some of my all time favorite books are about faeries too. Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr is such a hauntingly beautiful tale. I actually just ordered Fragile Eternity, the sequel, from my library and I can't wait to get it! Tithe by Holly Brown is another wonderful story. I think both of these books are young adult, but I can read them over and over as a twenty something and still love them. I really enjoy books where you create the world in your head, if that makes sense! Also, pretty much anything from Francesca Lia Block, including the dazzling Weetzie Bat series, are favorites of mine!
Enough of that, huh? I'm such a dork! Isn't the cover of Wicked Lovely gorgeous though? That's what I used as inspiration! What I wore:
-Morgana Minerals Mesmerize- lovely lavender with silvery shimmer
-Archetype Frozen Charlotte- sheer transclucent bluish shimmer with hint of lav undertones
-The She Space Libra in Social Pleasure- softest iridescent cloud blue pearl with layers of copper and gold sparkle
-Indelible cream shadow in Nude Frost
-Bedhead Big Fat Fun Smudgie in Lilac- soft lilac purple
-Avon Colortrends liquid eyeliner in Sparkling black
-Urban Decay Afterglow blush in Quickie- bright pink with shimmer
-Fyrinnae Lip lustre in Mega Hold- sheer light rosy beige with a satiny finish
-NYX lipstick in Femme- bright, orange toned red
Mesmerize in inner vee and inner 1/2 of lid. Frozen Charlotte in outer 1/2 of lid and down into cheeks. Social Pleasure as highlight. Black liquid liner in cat eye and teensy little hand drawn lashes on bottom. Megahold all over lips with Femme in the middle creating a "just ate a raspberry" look.
As always, everything looks so much cooler in person! The different color shimmers of the shadows really stand out. I also have had that Bed Head liner for YEARS and ahh I love it so much. I actually don't even know if they make the big fat fun's anymore, but they are amazing...creamy, soft and last forever.
I was reading on Miss K from Aromaleigh's blog today about being stuck in a makeup rut and one of her tips was wearing color on the bottom lid, which I used to *always* do, but have recently gotten away from. So, my combo of being excited about Melissa Marr's new book and Miss K's help got me inspired to be a faerie today!! Hope you enjoyed the look! Happy Monday!!

Looovely look ^_^; you translated the inspiration to your look really well! Faeries are awesome :) x
That's so pretty on you. Great job! Yes the cover of the book is gorgeous. I'll have to see if my library has any of these books. I'm always willing to try reading an author who is new to me.
Beautiful look, I love it!
I'll have to show you some of my Fairy drawings sometime!
oh boy, faeries bring back so many memories! I used to play neopets, and they had faeries that you could collect or give you special abilities-- they looked similar to these, but not as pretty.
I love your makeup, btw. I love all your looks that're girly and iridescent =)
I love fairy shimmers! Your look really does capture a fairy! x
Simple but beautiful! The cover of the book is gorgeous too, it's great inspiration material. I'll have to check out the book, now, too...LOL
