Side note- I do all of my swatches the same...Patted on dry with the same Aveda brush
Another side note- Check out the shine even without flash! Individual color thoughts-
Tapestry- The much requested "black lustre", this is a rich, frosted black with an incredible depth of color and pigment within.
My thoughts- This was the first shadow I swatched...I was not that impressed (thats why I was totally shocked on what was to come!). On me, it comes out as more of a dark reddish brown shade. Very pretty, but nothing special.
Mandarin- Fresh verdant green with Opulent molten metal effect.
My thoughts- I was literally AMAZED when I swatched this. Even dry, this comes out creamy and shiny like metal. Insane. (The rest of the colors I swatched are like this one-creamy, shiny, delicious!) A must have color! I'm definitely picking this one up!
Lotus- Cerulean blue, silvery and smooth.
My thoughts- I wasn't planning on liking this one. I'm not a blue fan. BUT it swatches as a beautiful slightly grey-green blue with a silver sheen. Very unusual and not at all like your momma's (or at least my momma's) 1980s blue shadow!
Lychee- Deeper rose-brown raisin shade that shines!
My thoughts- This one has less "shine" than the rest, but a very pretty slightly pink sheen to it. I could see this working on ALL skin tones as a great every day color.
Imperial- Cool true purple that glides on with the Opulent's metallic lustre.
My thoughts- Perfect description! It is possibly my favorite of the bunch. Goes on a bit lighter than the rest, but has a gorgeous shine to it.
Ginger- Slightly warm medium beige, but with a shock of metallic appearance when applied.
My thoughts- A very marketable color! This is something I could see on anyone. The lightest of the bunch, it is a perfect every day beige. It's not too warm, even I (the cool colored gal) can see myself swiping this on when I want to look good quickly.
Fig- Not your basic brown, this has hints of rose and gold, and is luscious and metallic when applied.
My thoughts- I had the highest hopes for this color and it really delivered! Less "red" than Lychee, it is a perfect slightly rosy brown with wet-look sheen.
Azalea- Heathered soft pink-lilac shadow, but vivid with metallic sheen.
My thoughts- Exactly what the description said! Anyone who loves pink should have this color.
Dragonfly- Luscious turquoise-teal shade, glimmering like the colors of a Dragonfly's wings.
My thoughts- This color is more on the "green" side of teal and has a powerful silver sheen to it.
Overall thoughts-
All in all, I was shocked by the creamy shine of the Opulent Lustre collection. I couldn't believe that the colors came out so metallic when they were dry. The only color that I didn't like was Tapestry, but all the others were beautiful. My must haves are Mandarin and Fig. Luscious! The Opulent Lustre collection is $7.75 for a full jar, but watch for the weekly sales and you will be able to get them even cheaper!
I did my EotD with these colors in the next post to see what they looked like on the eye, so make sure to check that out too!
Have you tried out Aromaleigh's Opulent Lustre Collection? Are there any colors you could see yourself wearing?

What is it with mum's and 80's blue eyeshadow!!! That and super frosty bright pink lipstick! "Oh mother step away from the cosmetics and go scrub your face.... I won't be telling you again!"
Those colours look lovely and I think that Mandarin will look stunning on you.

I really like the Opulent Lustres, my favorites being Fig, Cloud, and Butterfly. Even though I don't like Tapestry alone on my lid it does make a great color for blending and darkening the crease, so, I still got a full size of it.:)
